Tuesday, November 30, 2010, while accessing YouTube, I was viewing the most recent videos when I found a video titled “novinhas do bairro minas gerais” [young girls from the neighborhood in Minas Gerais], a pornographic video, likely pedophilic. I did not confirm it, I simply reported it using the tool available on the site and came to record the fact that anyone, even a child, until the report is reviewed and verified by the site administrators, could access this video without any obstacle. This led me to question two points: first, the abominable link between imagery and pedophilia on the internet, a crime that has been demonstrating serious sexual deviations leading to sick behavior; the second concerns the lawful stance: Adult videos made by adults for adults.
Regarding pedophilia, there is nothing to discuss. REPORT IT. Use the fastest channels on the site where you verified the illegality, such as contacting the administrators, and/or the report button provided by the sites next to the linked image.
The Federal Police also offers a very useful tool for reporting, http://nightangel.dpf.gov.br/; this link can be used to report not only sites with pedophilia, but also Hate Crimes, Genocide, and Human Trafficking.
