As a general rule, no.
According to a 'sale with retention of title' clause, the buyer only acquires ownership of the asset when the full amount is paid. Thus, the seller will only transfer the title of the item once the buyer has fully complied with the contract. It is only applicable to movable property, for which ownership is transferred by delivery (tradition). The contract must always be in writing and must also be registered at a notary office. If the contract is breached, the seller may revoke the agreement and request repossession.
