Sílvio de Souza Lôbo Júnior, or simply Sílvio Lôbo (Goiânia, March 7, 1982), is a lawyer, professor, and writer. He holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás, a bachelor's degree in Literature, a postgraduate degree in Higher Education Teaching, and is currently pursuing two postgraduate courses: Civil Procedural Law and Family and Succession Law. He regularly practices law in the areas of family law and contract law. He currently participates in the Commission for Family and Succession Law (CDFS) of the OAB Goiás.
He first wrote when he was still a teenager on a typewriter given to him by his parents, Mr. Sílvio de Souza Lôbo, a muralist, and Ana Divanir Lôbo, a seamstress. This work, titled "Cães" (Dogs), was not published. At twenty-one, in a week, during a crisis of unrequited love, he wrote "Alex." After writing it, printing it, and making a single copy, he read it, was shocked by the sheer number of errors, and then presented it to the girl he liked, forgetting about it.
On the eve of his 40th birthday, he decided to allow his publications to be shared with those who wished to know them. Thus, on September 15, 2015, after two hearings for his professional legal practice, he decided to publish through Amazon in digital format with a paperback edition initially available for purchase through the international website.
Anyone who reads "Alex" will encounter a different world. A time when there were no mobile phones, when dates happened in the town square, at a table in a bar near a roasted skewer, and all the time was dedicated to contact and dialogue. Hand-in-hand walks were common, and movies were truly entertaining. But above all, anyone who reads "Alex" will experience the author's maturation. A poor boy, born in an irregular settlement near a stream, who studied in public schools without much distinction and who sought reading and study as a way to cope with an intense anxiety that disgusted him.
