Every day there are hundreds of arrests, and there are drug dealers who mock the police, mock all of us. The police arrest them one day, the State releases them the next. Who is to blame? All of us. Not the Judge nor the prosecutor. It's ours, because they only enforce the Law, but the politicians in power, thanks to our votes, are the ones who make the Law.
The Federal Police arrested 19 military police officers suspected of belonging to an extermination group in Goiás. So far, these officers are attributed with 46 deaths over 15 years. The deaths allegedly occurred "for the good of society," as the deceased were people linked to drug trafficking who were repeatedly taken to police stations only to be released and subsequently continue their crimes. However, Carlos Antonio da Silva, the Federal Police Superintendent, states that innocent people were killed as part of a cover-up.
