The 37th edition of daylight saving time is here, and it's worth remembering that in Brazil there is no fixed date, so computers using Windows will adjust the time incorrectly, and even if you manually adjust the system to add an hour when summer begins, it will remove this hour when it ends.
To fix this, Microsoft provides a correction, known as a "hotfix". Access the request page and ask for yours by clicking here
To fill out the form, use the options below:
1st Field [Country]: Brasil
2nd Field [Article, use this number]: 943000
3rd Field [Your Windows version]: example: Windows XP Home Edition
The Platform field is not mandatory; do not answer if you do not know.
IMPORTANT:
The default daylight saving time dates for the (GMT -3:00) Brasília time zone in Windows are as follows:
• Daylight saving time begins at 00:00 on Sunday, October 14, 2007.
• Daylight saving time ends at 24:00 on Saturday, February 16, 2008.
