"Titanic: The Exhibition - Real Objects, Real Stories" will be open to invited guests on March 16th, and to the public from the 17th. Initially, it will take place at Barra Shopping Sul - Av. Diário de Notícias, 300, Cristal - Porto Alegre-RS, and soon in Brasília.
What will you find?
- 243 artifacts recovered from the ocean floor by divers.
- There will be 8 sections: Construction, The Departure, Life on Board, Boiler Room, Iceberg, The Rescue, Recovery, and Memorial.
- A 3.5-meter replica of a real iceberg that visitors can touch. It helps lower the temperature of the surrounding rooms and was modeled after a sketch drawn by a Titanic lookout himself.
- Visitors will receive a boarding pass with the name of one of the shipwreck victims.
Curiosity: Titanic, 1997, by James Cameron, replaced Jaws as the highest-grossing film and held that title for over a decade until its numbers were surpassed by Avatar.
