Thousands of fish die in the Pantanal

The death of thousands of fish that occurred in just 3 days (January 29, 30, and 31, 2011) has the deoxygenation as a probable cause.

Deoxygenation, also called “rotten water,” is a natural phenomenon that occurs when the river level rises significantly, causing the death of aquatic plants that need sunlight for photosynthesis, as well as dying from drowning. With the death and rotting of vegetation, there is a drastic reduction of oxygen in the water, consequently leading to the death of fish.

But those who know this event know that the large number of dead fish this time is not normal. Could it be more signs of Global Warming? The question remains,
