A week ago, a man fell into Marginal Botafogo. Unlike the last one I mentioned on this site, this one was alive. He presents with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and received a note in the newspaper Diário da Manhã:
Man falls into Botafogo Stream / February 13, 2011 / A man, not yet identified, fell into the ditch where the Botafogo Stream passes, near Avenida Goiás Norte, yesterday afternoon, while walking along the marginal. He was taken in serious condition to the Goiânia Emergency Hospital (Hugo) and is at risk of death. According to the Fire Department, in the fall, the victim, who was on foot, hit his head and suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI). There is still no information on the cause of the accident. Bystanders told the Fire Department that the man appeared to be intoxicated, but this information has not yet been confirmed. Traffic on the marginal was not interrupted. (Kamylla Rodrigues)
