First recorded attack. Six men armed with rifles set fire to two cars on Linha Vermelha, early in the afternoon. The criminals also fired several times at an Air Force car. No one was injured. Monday, 22nd
A Military Police booth was attacked on Monday night (22nd), on Avenida Dom Hélder Câmara, near Del Castilho, in the city's suburbs. Two cars were stolen and another two were set on fire during a raid on Rodovia Presidente Dutra, near Pavuna. Throughout the day, the Rio de Janeiro government increased PM patrols and attributed the raids to a 'small' criminal faction.

Tuesday, 23rd
Military Police operations in around 20 favelas involved an estimated 13 battalions. In the afternoon, two officers from the Railway Police Unit (GPFer) were attacked by criminals at the Senador Camará train station, in the city's West Zone. No one was injured. Also during the afternoon, two cars from the 16th BPM (Olaria) were attacked by criminals in Penha, in Rio's suburbs. The PM confirmed that eight men were arrested, and another two killed, during the operations.
Wednesday, 24th
During the day, according to the Military Police, 15 suspects were killed, 31 arrested, and 2 police officers were injured; several weapons and drugs were seized. By the end of the night, the total number of vehicles set on fire in the state reached 28 since Tuesday night (23rd), including 17 cars, 8 buses, two vans, and one truck. In an interview with Jornal Nacional, the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Sérgio Cabral Filho, confirmed the request for support from the Brazilian Navy. The governor emphasized that the Navy would not have direct involvement in combating violent actions in Rio, but rather logistical support.

Thursday, 25th
The Federal Police plane carrying arrested individuals landed in Cascavel (PR) in the early hours of the morning. Late in the morning, a major Bope operation began in the favela region of Penha, in Rio's suburbs, with six Navy armored vehicles and two trucks. During the afternoon, 350 police officers took control of Vila Cruzeiro, causing a mass exodus of suspects from the community. 31 vehicles were attacked (13 cars, two vans, 11 buses, two motorcycles, two trucks, and one minibus) and 25 people died.
Friday, 26th
During the night, the Civil Police arrested Márcia Gama Nepomuceno, wife of trafficker Marcinho VP, who allegedly ordered the orchestrated attacks. Around 800 Army soldiers were sent to the Alemão favela complex and Vila Cruzeiro. In Vila Cruzeiro, three were killed in a confrontation. In the Alemão favelas, at least five people were injured by nightfall, including a Reuters photographer. Eight arrested individuals are transferred to federal prisons. During a visit to Guyana, President Lula guaranteed the government's full support to Rio's authorities. Via Twitter, president-elect Dilma Rousseff posted a message of support to Governor Sérgio Cabral. According to the PM, since Sunday, 96 vehicles have been set on fire, 48 weapons, and 8 grenades seized. The number of arrests is 196.

It is already night, and at any moment the army will take control of Morro do Alemão.
The Alemão Complex is located in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro, with approximately 65,000 inhabitants. The complex comprises 17 hills, such as Vila Cruzeiro,
Alemão, Grota, and Nova Brasília. Grota was the location where, according to the police, TV Globo journalist Tim Lopes was murdered on June 2nd. The police operation that led to the arrest of trafficker Elias Maluco - the main suspect in Tim Lopes' murder - in the Alemão Complex, involved about 500 civil police officers (300 during the day and 200 at night), 20 Civil Police cars, two helicopters, and the airship "Pax", equipped with cameras capable of showing clear images from 15 km away. OCCUPATION HAS BEGUN!
Five and a half hours after the start, television images show the flags of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil being hoisted and fluttering in the wind. Police and Armed Forces entered the complex at 8 am.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Military Police, Mário Sérgio Duarte, announced at 9:20 am: "We have won."
Exchanges of gunfire began around 7 am this Sunday (28th). The flags of the State of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil are symbols of the public authorities' occupation of the community. (G1)
This is a historic moment. In an interview with Rede Globo by phone, Rio's governor, Sérgio Cabral, stated that with the occupation of the Alemão Favela Complex, "Rio de Janeiro is turning a page."

Primeiro ataque registrado. Seis homens armados de fuzis incendiaram dois carros na Linha Vermelha, no início da tarde. Os criminosos ainda dispararam várias vezes contra um carro da Aeronáutica. Uma cabine da Polícia Militar foi atacada na noite de segunda-feira (22), na Avenida Dom Hélder Câmara, na altura de Del Castilho, no subúrbio da cidade. Dois carros foram roubados e outros dois incendiados durante um arrastão na Rodovia Presidente Dutra, na altura da Pavuna. No decorrer do dia, o governo do Rio de Janeiro aumentou o patrulhamento da PM e atribuiu os arrastões a um grupo \'pequeno\' de facção criminosa.

As operações da Polícia Militar em cerca de 20 favelas, utilizaram um efetivo de pelo menos 13 batalhões. À tarde, dois policiais do Grupamento de Polícia Ferroviária (GPFer) foram atacados por criminosos, à tarde, na estação de trem de Senador Camará, na Zona Oeste da cidade. Ninguém ficou ferido. Também durante a tarde, dois carros do 16º BPM (Olaria) foram atacados por criminosos na Penha, no subúrbio do Rio. A PM confirmou que oito homens foram presos, e outros dois, mortos, durante as operações.

Durante o dia, segundo a Polícia Militar, 15 suspeitos foram mortos, 31 presos e 2 policiais ficaram feridos; várias armas e drogas foram apreendidas. Até o fim da noite, o total de veículos incendiados no estado chegou a 28 desde a noite de terça (23), sendo 17 carros, 8 ônibus, duas vans e um caminhão. Em entrevista ao Jornal Nacional, o governador do Rio de Janeiro, Sérgio Cabral Filho, confirmou o pedido de apoio à Marinha do Brasil. O governador ressaltou que a Marinha não teria atuação direta no combate às ações violentas no Rio, mas sim logístico.

No final da manhã, teve início uma megaoperação do Bope na região das favelas na Penha, subúrbio do Rio, com seis veículos blindados da Marinha e dois caminhões. Durante a tarde, 350 policiais tomaram o controle da Vila Cruzeiro, provocando a fuga em massa de suspeitos da comunidade. 31 veículos foram atacados (13 carros, duas vans, 11 ônibus, duas motos, dois caminhões e um micro-ônibus) e 25 pessoas morreram.

Durante a noite, a Polícia Civil prende Márcia Gama Nepomuceno, mulher do traficante Marcinho VP, que teria ordenado os ataques orquestrados. Cerca de 800 soldados do Exército são mandados ao conjunto de favelas do Alemão e à Vila Cruzeiro. Na Vila Cruzeiro, três são mortos em confronto. Nas favelas do Alemão, ao menos cinco pessoas ficaram feridas até a noite, entre elas um fotógrafo da Reuters. Oito presos são transferidos para presídios federais. O Conjunto do Alemão fica na na zona norte do Rio de Janeiro, tem aproximadamente 65 mil habitantes.O complexo reúne 17 morros, como Vila Cruzeiro,
Alemão, Grota e Nova Brasília.A Grota foi o local onde, segundo a polícia, foi assassinado o jornalista da TV Globo Tim Lopes, em 2 de junho. A operação policial que acabou por prender o traficante Elias Maluco - principal acusado da morte de Tim Lopes -, no Complexo do Alemão, contou com cerca de 500 policiais civis (300 de dia e 200 à noite), 20 carros da Polícia Civil, dois helicópteros e o dirigível "Pax", equipado com câmeras capazes de mostrar com nitidez imagens a 15 km de distância. OCUPAÇÃO INICIOU !
5 horas e meia após o começo a ocupação, imagens da televisão mostram as bandeiras do Rio de Janeiro e do Brasil hasteadas e balançando ao vento. Polícias e Forças Armadas entraram no complexo às 8h.
O comandante-geral da Polícia Militar, Mário Sérgio Duarte, anunciou às 9h20: “Vencemos”.
Troca de tiros começou por volta das 7h deste domingo (28). As bandeiras do Estado do Rio de Janeiro e do Brasil são símbolo da ocupação da comunidade pelo poder público. (G1)

São trinta anos de abandono, trinta anos de favelas, trinta anos de populismo, tinta anos de confunção entre oi, ordem e direito humano, onde infelismente esta confusão, esta mixordia de conceito levou o Rio de Janeiro ao debate, a ums situação de crise economica, crise social, de falencia de politicas, e que nós estamos recuperando.
