The authorship of the death of publicist Polyanna Borges Arruda, 26, still challenges the police.
The case is being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Bureau (Deic), which is still awaiting the conclusion of reports, such as fingerprints found in the victim's car. She was killed with two shots, one in the chest and another in the left arm.
"Pollyana disappeared on September 23rd on her way to the Catholic University of Goiás (PUC), where she was scheduled to give a lecture to Advertising students. On the same day, the police found the young woman's car, partially burned, in Residencial Caraíbas, in the northern region of Goiânia. The victim's personal belongings, such as her laptop and bag, were not taken."
"On the night of the 24th, Pollyana's body was found in an area of Residencial Humaitá, on the banks of Córrego Caveirinha, also in the northern region of the Capital. At the scene, the police found casings, supposedly from .357 or .38 caliber. The crime scene indicated signs of a struggle. Pollyana's body was found naked, but the forensic examination did not show signs of sexual violence." (Cláudio Barros)
