GOIÂNIA - For a few days, there were rumors in the Criméia Oeste neighborhood that men in a black car were threatening to kill anyone in the Jacaré square at night. Residents were alarmed, but nothing was done. Then, a young resident of the neighborhood and student at Colégio Estadual Polivalente stayed in the square after the usual nightly fair ended.
The young man was surrounded by this black car, was shot at, but missed, and ran several blocks. Exhausted, he was caught and killed with at least five shots.
After the crime, which happened on Good Friday night, and the holiday, students from the school where he studied in the evening period were in shock. During the week, with the news that he had been killed at a time that on normal days would be the school dismissal time (10:00 PM), many parents forbade their children from going to school.
