The lawyer for retired police officer Mizael Bispo de Souza, Samir Haddad Junior, said this Tuesday that his client "is in Guarulhos (SP), but will not surrender" and cannot be considered a fugitive. The city's court ordered the preventive detention of Mizael and the watchman Evandro Bezzerra Silva, accused of the murder of lawyer Mércia Nakashima, and determined that both be brought to popular jury. Lawyer Mércia Nakashima, 28, disappeared on May 23 and was found dead on June 11 in Nazaré Paulista, in the interior of São Paulo. She was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend and retired police officer, Mizael Bispo de Souza, who would not accept the end of the relationship. Phone call tracing done by the police with court authorization would place both at the crime scene, according to investigations.
