Léa Lucas Garcia de Aguiar was born in Rio de Janeiro on March 11, 1933, and passed away on August 15, 2023, in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, at the age of 90. Internationally recognized, she was nominated for the award for best female performance at the Cannes Film Festival (1957) for Black Orpheus, which won the Oscar for best foreign film.
The cause of death was acute myocardial infarction.
She left a fabulous legacy in TV, Cinema, and Theater.
