Since the beginning of 2009, Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi made peace with the international market, selling oil at a low price. Therefore, those who think that military actions
in Libya are for his interest are very mistaken.
What happened there is the same that happens in several countries; the population has been revolting against the dictatorship. This happened in Egypt a few weeks ago, and there the people managed to overthrow the president; there are struggles happening right now in Iran, Syria, Libya, and more discreet ones in China.
All dictators usually use the police for 'rebel' crises seeking democracy. However, dictator Muammar Gaddafi was much crueler; he used the army to massacre civilians; they were true genocides.
Some people from the Libyan army itself, like the two pilots on Sunday, when ordered to bomb civilian gatherings, fled to other countries seeking asylum.
Because of this, Lebanon, France, Great Britain, and the USA organized a military action plan that creates a no-fly zone over Libya where the Libyan army cannot fly, only allowing commercial flight corridors to fly over the country. This is a standard tactic for any subsequent ground action attempt.
Therefore, it is conclusive that, for the protection of life and democracy, military actions in Libya had to happen, and even though our incompetent government speaks out that it does not agree with the actions that occurred in these first days of intervention. It is known worldwide that the current Brazilian Government has been intensely supporting military dictatorships around the world, making several donations under the pretext of city reconstruction; money that we know is used to buy weapons and maintain authoritarianism worldwide.
Now, here's something funny... In African countries, where they grow radishes and potatoes, and which have been under dictatorial regimes for decades, the USA has never gone there!! Strange, right! Does the USA really want to defend peace?
