These events always make us think about the possibility of the death penalty or life imprisonment. It's worth remembering that this is not possible since the Constitution prohibits such penalties.

A novelty in this case is how the media will seek to present the case more responsibly. The first measure is not to publicize the murderer, so as not to feed his ego and that of other potential murderers who expect to commit such abominations to "appear."
Unfortunately, our penal system is flawed. Anyone who has followed other crimes against children knows how painful it is to see in the media that the murderer is out on a Mother's Day or Christmas furlough, or even back on the streets.
It is lamentable.
But even with reduced publicity for the murderer's photo, many are already starting to search on Google for terms like, who attacked the daycare in Blumenau, the murderer's face, searches about the weapon, the hatchet, and even about scenes from the location.
If people were as curious about seeking justice as they are about these details, this crime would be a revolution.
