According to an article published by the TJMS, the law was discussed for 8 years with all segments of society and approved by the National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (CONANDA) in June 2007.
The law that evaluates how young people are behaving during the period of serving their socio-educational measure is being considered a breakthrough, but its effectiveness will depend on everyone's involvement. Despite this, flaws are already being pointed out: as a recommendation, SINASE did not define the jurisdiction for monitoring the fulfillment of the socio-educational measure — whether it is the judge who applied it or the one responsible for the resocialization unit. tjms
