In the second half of 2023, I had a big job changing my hosting to another server. The reason: they implemented the SPFBL anti-Spam system.
Indeed, for a year I hosted my domain on hospedameusite.com.br, but after they implemented SPFBL, many emails started to be arbitrarily deleted.
I'm not saying the emails went to a Spam folder. No! SPFBL simply deleted emails it deemed Spam.
The worst part is that every email sent by some kind of routine was deleted.
Thus, I did not receive invoices for cards or services, and I could not use email for two-factor authentication.
But it wasn't just this email. Emails I sent to myself were also deleted without any chance of recovery, as were emails from private accounts of family members, my wife, son, and my doctor.
Thanks to SPFBL, https://hospedameusite.com.br/ has indeed become an email service that is completely unviable. This in itself is a breach of contract, because when I signed up for the service, they offered an email. The email service, as part of the hosting, worked but was interrupted.
The worst part is that I re-established a long dialogue with HospedaMeuSite, and they tried to minimize the tragedy of arbitrary email deletion.
There were many losses, and hearing from the company the lie that the system was widely implemented and needed some adjustments was very sad.
In the end, I gave up.
Even free, ad-free hosting services like FreeHostia already offer email with a Spam folder for suspicious messages.
How can HospedaMeuSite promise minimally acceptable hosting and delete your emails without giving you the opportunity to check which ones they are? Worse, the implemented anti-Spam was a huge tragedy, and they didn't even disable it, just suggesting adjustments until it was good. In other words, they are experimenting with servers used by their clients.
Lamentable.
Hospeda Meu Site used to be good. Today it doesn't even have a decent email service.
