While money from school meals is being stolen, while the cost of publishing, the cost of a book is high, then the decision is made to reduce the age of criminal responsibility...
It is said that investments in education should then be increased. This is such a simple topic, there's nothing to discuss, just let the education receive all the investment currently allocated to it. It would be enough to let the ECA be fulfilled, which served as a model for many countries, and everything would be much better!
But this is money. And money by itself does not generate education. The truth is that money brings a better quality of life, and reduces dissatisfaction and consequently violence...
However, having money should not be a condition for happiness or satisfaction. What should happen is that everyone has responsibility for their actions, and be, in a way, content with the amount they have.
I am not saying at all that the poor have to stay poor, and never want to get richer. Everyone has the right to want to improve, as long as it doesn't infringe on another's property. What I am saying is that we should just have respect for the rights of others. To want to have more, but without violating the rights of others.
Each one, please, take care to educate your children with these values, and as we also want results for today, each one should adjust their own values. Not that we should all be delinquents, in the best sense of the word, but we are part of society... We will all be winning: a better world.
Even delinquents are being violated. Lately, in one of those favelas in Rio, a member of the militia who was patrolling a part of the favela had his motorcycle stolen...
Mr. Jorge Damus Filho said in an interview after his son's death, by a minor: “In the United States, the age of criminal responsibility is 07 years, France 13, England 10, Italy 14, Japan 14, Portugal 16, Egypt 15, our age of criminal responsibility of 18 years is the same as Colombia's. I am sure that between ours, which is absurdly liberal, protected by the lenient ECA, and that of other more severe countries, there must be a point of balance, of common sense that can be reached, including by creating special prisons for minors, separated by crime and age. We cannot say that the United States, France, England, and other countries are violating Human Rights, can we?” I respect your opinion, but let's observe: in England, at that age children are already responsible, and the USA has the age of criminal responsibility at that age and yet it has not stopped being the chaos it was…
In conclusion: No matter how hidden it may be, we all have in our minds the conscience that the world is not improved by arresting people earlier. Definitely! These are basic principles that are a human right. We all have the right to be good. Do not smile at someone who has harmed someone. Do not laugh at a person harmed by someone. It's like sweeping garbage under the rug. One day the rug will no longer contain the garbage. Therefore, the volume of garbage produced in the house should be reduced. Even less should garbage be thrown into the neighbor's yard. We all have and are partly garbage, it's up to each one to ensure that this is not the part that prevails, and to help the other to be better. And not when the other, for their reasons, shows themselves to be only garbage, then you pick it up and quickly sweep it under the rug! It's very easy to do that.
Why are humans committing crimes? Why has the need to lower the age of criminal responsibility arisen? Don't we also belong to the collective?
