Goiânia Bus Station (Araguaia Shopping), the same scene. Two women pulling wheeled suitcases are prohibited by luggage carriers and security guards from moving from the parking lot to the boarding area. There is a luggage carrier "cartel" there. And it is absolutely forbidden to transport suitcases through there, even those that already have wheels, as well as carts, even the simplest support ones. Someone who just wants to board a bus will have to pay the luggage carriers to take their luggage from the parking lot to the bus, with prices ranging from R$ 2.00 for a small package (per unit), and larger ones are carried for R$ 8.00 (also per unit).
I live next to the terminal and often witness people jumping over or carrying their luggage down those big slopes and stairs, in order to reach the buses through the vehicle entrances, which are forbidden to pedestrians and especially dangerous.
The main problem is that the Bus Station forces terminal users to go through the Shopping Mall, and establishes rules regarding the movement of luggage.
The TRUTH is... you pay a boarding fee, but there is no route from the terminal entrances to the boarding areas that doesn't go through the Shopping Mall, where such charges are established.
